MacDONALD, John “Donald“ - Gone to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on Wednesday June 6, 2012 at Rideaucrest Home for the Aged in his 82nd year. Son of the late John MacDonald and Florence Buffam. Beloved father of John MacDonald (Wendy Langlands) of Brockville and Dawn MacDonald of Toronto. Dear grandfather of Scarlett and Mickela MacDonald and Cassandra DeOliveira. Don was born in Pembroke on October 2, 1930 and raised in both the Pembroke and Peterborough areas and was a retired purchasing agent for the Government of Ontario. Throughout his life, Don was active in the United Church, Pentecostal Church and most recently the Polson Park Free Methodist. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the time of the service at 2pm at Polson Park Free Methodist Church (Portsmouth and Myles Avenue) on Friday June 8, 2012. Private interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Perth. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Polson Park Free Methodist Church would be appreciated.
