Obituary for Brian George

Brian George
GEORGE, Brian - The Great Big Love Remarkable The One Brian George is the best thing that ever happened in our lives. A privilege to love and be loved by him. He is larger than life to us. A man whose thoughts, words and actions are the making of our world, our lives. A person who is, at all times, the same, not altered by company or circumstance. Respected and admired. There are so many layers to his greatness. His absolute honesty, integrity, diligence and infamous sense of humour. An incredible cook who brought celebration to every bite. He is the most beautiful gift ever and we cannot overstate how grateful we are for him - thank you to his mom Grace George, and father Victor Alan George, and all his ancestors, for him. Such an enormous love of life, spectacular intellect, focus, limitless capability, efficiency, fairness. Brian loved his life, especially his boat! Great times golfing. When the red wine had completely turned his teeth an unusual maroon, we knew it was time for one of the best dinners in town. Living by journey and not destination, always. We loved every day. To share a quiet moment with Brian and to listen to his thoughts, to know him, wow, never ordinary. So balanced, so wise. Extraordinary. What he said and thought always mattered. Brian George, to so many, is an icon. In his children we see so much of Brian. Mackenzie - strong, loyal, fair, inquisitive, hilarious. Aaron - a walking happy face, kind, ever capable, adventurous, charismatic. Ava, wise beyond her years, fierce, caring, determined, loving, aware. To be completely, unconditionally loved is a wonderful thing. Brian has that always. He is entirely loved and admired. We hope we are and will always be everything you deserve. You are more than anyone deserves. As for me, your wife, Nammarra, I would say that if this is it, it is more than I've ever dreamed of. Thank you Brian George. Brian, you are my best everything. His family - sisters Susan, Nancy and husband Steve, nieces Pam, Hannah, nephew William, his mother Grace, father Al (passed), mother's partner Lyman (passed) and his family, the crazy Dokkens and all of his many, many friends, are so lucky for Brian. There are so many people who love Brian so there will be a full page of tributes to him from his many friends in Friday's newspaper. So much love, so many friends, but specific thanks to the yoga angel Tami and Pom. Making a true difference, thank you Dr. Christopher Booth (add 3 stars to tremendous doctor) Tami, all the nurses and staff at the cancer center. Oddly, it was a really nice place to be. Brian passed away at age 54. Donations for prostate cancer to 'Motorcycle ride for Dad', Al Benton, 1065 Acadia Drive, Kingston, Ontario, K7M 8V7. Service at St. Mary's Cathedral, Johnson Street, Kingston, Saturday, 14th April, 2012, 10:30 am, followed by a celebration at the Grizzly Grill. There can never be enough words. One of a kind. Thank you, thank you, thank you Brian. We love you.
