Peacefully made his way to heaven June 26, 2012 at Holland Christian Homes in Brampton.
He was a retired teacher, soccer referee, ardent Frontenac's fan and active in the Christian Reformed Church. Predeceased by his 1st wife(Martha Elizabeth Kooistra) he leaves behind his wife Cornelia Hoejenbos, children: Lois(Jim) Harold, Herma(Don)Lafontaine and Wolter Wagter. Grandchildren: Mercedes, Jennifer, Adrian, Julie, Heather, Ian, Ryan, Ange and Jen. He also leaves 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 4, 2012 from 1pm until the time of the funeral at 2pm at the Robert J. Reid & Sons, “The Chapel on the Corner”, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street), Kingston. Interment to follow at Cataraqui Cemetery. For those wishing, memorial donations to the Kingston Christian School or the War Amps would be appreciated.
